This is the third book in this series and is Cassie and Wilder's story. Cassie meets Wilder when her ex gets physical with her. There attraction to each other is instant. They both have secrets and hidden darkness within. This is a great listen with strong characters, one of whom is haunted by his past.

This is the third in the Legacy of Kings series and wow, it certainly doesn't disappoint. Cassandra Penticoff, a prosecuting attorney, is asked to investigate the Blackwell brothers by her boss. What she discovers is a man who reaches her inner, darkest desires. Stalked by Wilder, she can't resist him but her desires conflict with her role as an attorney. With Cassandra becoming a target, more secrets being unearthed and the memories of Wilder of that awful night and what happened after coming to light, they will both have to make decisions about their future. This book has so many twists and turns. Dark, hot, steamy and jam-packed with everything you can expect from a book by Piper Stone, and more, I loved listening to it and found it difficult to stop. Another fantastic story by Piper and narrated by Skyler Morgan.
