I've never gone back n forth with a book before lol. so initially I really liked the book until it got to him cutting his hand and putting it in places...it knocked me and I was a little unsure if I'd stepped over my comfort zone, but you know what I just went with it, because I started reading these sort of books to do just that and I'm glad I continued with it.
The book really turns into something special with a great story and lots of love. The only gripe I have is that the male narrator reminded me of a 60 year old mafia boss with a cigar in his mouth, which made it hard for me to visualise him as a younger person despite my best efforts and the female narrator sounded a little older for someone in their early 20's.
But don't let that put you off, the book holds it's own and I'm a new reader to these types of books my imagination needs to grow a little 😂
