I always like to refresh my hope for mankind at this time of year...and live in the hope that maybe some of those who run the UK might be visited by any spirits that may be available and capable of reaching hearts and minds and be able to change them for the better. Miriam Margoyles is always superb ! Her character voices are convincing and her understanding of the writer's intention is without question.

I love the rich language and the atmospheric settings- Dicken wasa master storyteller IMO.

However the skill & enthusiasm Miriam lends to the telling is invaluable. All the voices are just right and she sets the mood with her gusto, humour, despair or trepidation- whatever is required. I listen to this every December & recommend it to all my friends.
