The body of Joe Bertolucci, security guard for a wealthy and controversial land developer, is found in a deserted cabin on Salt Spring Island. A note and evidence found at the crime scene suggest suicide, but to Constable Danutia Dranchuk things just don't add up. As Dranchuk struggles to convince her RCMP Sergeant to keep the case open, she begins an investigation that will lead her deep into the corruption in the community.

Don your deerstalker and pick up your magnifying glass, super sleuths - there’s mischief afoot, and this time it’s deadly! Kay Stewart and Chris Bullock’s A Deadly Little List follows intrepid crime-solver Constable Danutia Dranchuk as she searches for a security guard’s killer. Dranchuk knows his death was no accident...the problem is convincing her superiors. Little does she know, though, just what secrets she’ll uncover in her investigation - secrets that could rock her community to its very core.

Voice actor Erin Moon performs this gripping thriller with aplomb, skillfully manipulating tone and tension with her careful pacing. Moon has a light, malleable voice, which she successfully uses to craft unmistakable personas for each of this audiobook’s intriguing characters.

The story was somewhat marred by the narrators attempt at accents. This was very distracting and made concentrating on the story difficult. I’m unsure which accent they were actually going for?

Decent storytelling

I enjoyed this book ,an interesting tale, however the authors portrayal of author just makes me cringe
it's so awful an attempt at English it's almost laughable. I did persevere and finish the story as it was decent ,but it truly is let down by the awful accent ..I'm not sure where the narrator took her musefor the accent but it's not British at all it's just ear torture

al decent book but cringe narration

I'd recommend the British characters having naturalised accents rather than whatever this was. Dick van Dyke vocal school. However! the reading of the rest of the voices was really enjoyable. I found the story easy to follow as a result.

decent tale but terrible accents

The story is quite good but the narrator really lets the author down with her performance. The journalist main character Andrew has the most unlikely and unintelligible English accent that I have ever heard. It seems to be a concoction of Lancashire and Scottish accents with Inspector Clouseau's pronunciation. It's really hard to decipher what he is saying at times. The female RCMP police officer lead character is quite engaging and the other Canadians are fine.

Needs a better storyteller.

I almost abandoned this audiobook because the narrator’s attempts at Manchester, Nottingham and Oxford English accents were so poir

Story almost ruined by appalling accents
