About this listen
Henry
I’ve returned home from the war in France one-armed and defeated. While I was fighting at Waterloo, my father, brother, and sister-in-law all died, leaving me alone to raise my baby niece. I'm a broken man, and this new battle feels impossible to win. Only the assistance of my valet Percy, who refuses to leave my employ, offers me any hope.
Percy
My feelings for Henry are even more intense now than when we kissed all those years ago. Since those carefree days, I've put aside my feelings for him, and I’m now acting as his missing right arm. I take care of his needs, and his niece’s, while suppressing my own. As our intimacy grows, I can’t help but wonder if he might return my affections after all. But our respective ranks and the dangers for men of our kind form an impenetrable wall between us.
A Wounded Gentleman is a 17k Regency gay romance novella set in Jane Austen’s Persuasion world about a valet in love with the lord who is seeking redemption after being a rake.

This is the third book in the "Gentleman" series with "An uncommon gentleman" being the first and "A sensible gentleman" being the second.
In this book we follow Henry, a wounded soldier, who comes back from war to find all his family has died with the exception of his baby niece. Now Henry must step into a life as an Earl of an estate. Thankfully, he has his childhood friend Percy to help him navigate hos new life. Percy has been at the estate his entire life and it now Henry's valet.
Henry comes back wounded and cannot do many aspects of daily life anymore. And he is frustrated with his wounds and life. Percy is so good at making him pliant without emasculating him and together they become a great team.
When they were young, the two had shared a kiss, something Percy never forgot and it became his gay awakening. He still loves Henry deeply and makes sure to take care of all his needs🤣 Henry has never been with a man but quietly finds out that Percy is the exception❤️
This book was an amazing end to a great series. I love that we get to revisit the two other couples in the series.
As always Michael Ferraiuolo is absolutely brilliant in his narration 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
