About this listen

John Carter had Barsoom. Antarius Thurgood got Altair.

Stranded on an uncivilized world, Captain Thurgood finds himself alone against an entire planet filled with savage beasts and deadly denizens. To top it all off, the Hama are coming for him. Now, he must find a way to unite a people, conquer a planet, steal a ship and get off of Altair.

It won’t be easy.

All he has are his wits and his grit because no one listened when he asked for a survival bazooka.

i disliked nothing and enjoyed all the innuendo and the way the main character stumbled through the story

very entertaining and easy to follow

Really enjoyed this book. Having listened to the publishers pack of shattered alliance I was expecting this to be a continuation of the same characters including’The Clown’.
Although it seems a spin-off, I highly rate this and wasn’t disappointed by it appearing to me as a standalone book.
Can’t wait for the next one!

Fantastically funny, even as a spin-off

Funny witty spectacular. Benjamin Wallace never fails and the performance by Phil Thron is spot on

Brilliant as always

The character of thurgood is flawed and endearing in equal measure. The storyline was great and the narration was spot on. I found myself laughing out loud so many times. I would thoroughly recommend this book
