So that's just what the campers of Camp Scare Away do: spin terrifying tales, letting whatever lurks in the night know we can spin up our own terrifying frights. Ages 10+, Free of harsh language and darker themes. Camp Scare Away is written and produced by Aaron Robbins, creator of the Mr. Eerie's Mystery Series podcast. Stories from Camp Scare Away, while scary and unsettling, aim to be as all ages as possible, staying away from themes related to witchcraft, demons, and the occult. Often scarier than Mr. Eerie's Mystery Series, Camp Scare Away is a fun and frantic podcast with stories that will have you questioning why you ever agreed to spend your summer at a camp that specializes in the odd, unusual, and downright unsettling.2026 Aaron Robbins

Danny Dawson has one plan for the summer: no buses, no bus drivers, and no chance of ever being left behind again.

Then a brochure shows up on the hall table for a place called Camp Scare Away, and just like that, Danny's plan is over before it starts. Whole summer. No way out.

Camp Scare Away is supposed to be safe. Boxed in by a river on one side and a ring of mountains on the other. Impossible to wander off. Impossible to get lost.At least, that's what everyone says.

Because there's an old story that follows the campfire around every summer, about a kid who vanished on an overnight hike decades ago and was never found. Sleeping bag rolled up neat. Backpack packed and ready. Like he was just about to leave. Some campers say it's just a story to keep the new kids on the trail. Danny's starting to wonder if it's something else.

Because the closer campout night gets, the more Danny notices things that don't quite add up.
