The past never stays buried. Anna Albertini is finally settling into life as an attorney—mostly by ignoring the fact that Aiden Devlin, the blue-eyed Irishman she let into her bed and maybe her heart, has disappeared without so much as a phone call.

Then Anna walks into court and finds herself across from her sister Tessa’s dirtbag ex. When the ex turns up dead, both Tessa and Aiden are standing over the body. As a prosecutor, Anna is supposed to build the case against them. As a sister, she is absolutely supposed to get Tessa out of this mess. And as Aiden’s…what? Lover? Girlfriend? Former bad decision? She needs to figure out who the heck he really is.

To save the people she loves, Anna has to dig up the truth, dodge one ambitious boss, outmaneuver one grumpy cop, and cause exactly the right amount of trouble. Good thing trouble already knows her name.

I fell naturally into the second book. It feels like it was simply the follow on chapter of the first book.

Like the first book in the series, this is an easy flow read despite the murders, and criminal activity involved.

I’m sure one day it will make a nice tv series.

Nice and easy read

Even for this genre of story, this is awful. If this book had been written in the 1980s it would not have surprised me. The plot is lazy, unrealistic and there are so many holes in it. I'm glad I didn't pay for it. The narrating was semi decent, though.

Lazy writing, and not funny
