Such a good book. I laughed, was annoyed AF. So all in all I could live with the story

Didn’t think I’d get into this one — the start is slow and the male narrator doesn’t distinguish the males’ voices. Maybe I’m just not used to the Australian accent. A good story, overall, but I do wish the story were wrapped up in one long book instead of 2 medium ones.

Going straight into book 2, which I think will be good.

The steam that’s there is good but hopefully there’s more in the sequel. This book spent a lot of time on her horrible ex.

Although I enjoyed this story, I doubt I will be reading or listening to the next one (2nd part of the duet). Story was engaging & I enjoyed the premise of the shifters, but there was more domestic violence than I was expecting. Abuse is not committed by any of the main characters, however it is against the FMC. The author has absolutely captured that state of overwhelm & lostness felt by the FMC as she processes so much at once, would've been nice to hear more from the MMCs and their side of the world around them.
