About this listen

The Shadow Crusade has begun. While the Ultramarines reel from Kor Phaeron's surprise attack on Calth, Lorgar and the rest of the Word Bearers strike deep into the realm of Ultramar.

Their unlikely allies, Angron and the World Eaters, continue to ravage each new system they come across - upon the garrison planet of Armatura, this relentless savagery may finally prove to be their undoing. Worlds will burn, Legions will clash and a primarch will fall.

This book made me Love the worldeaters so much it's unreal, it finally gave some depth to a legion who has always been dubbed a pack of mindless brawlers. couple that with more scheming from the Word Bearers adds to my dislike of Erabus and Lorgar. I think I may dislike them more than any other characters we all love to hate and that includes King Joffrey and Professor Umbridge.

Brilliant story and lots of insight into interesting characters, almost makes you forget they're the "bad guys"

Great story from a great writer, if you know a lot about the lore you know where it ends but the journey is well worth it and the subversion of the title was a good twist.
