June, 1852. A preacher's daughter with a secret. An outlaw running from the gallows. A love story spanning oceans and deserts and years.

Abby Proctor has made her choice—she's racing back to Wry to save Joey "JT London", the outlaw she's fallen in love with. But time is running out—the ghosts of Abby's past are giving chase, they're not going to let her go without a fight, and Joey is a wanted woman with a target on her back.

Then, Joey disappears.

But Abby is determined to find her, and along the way, she might even find herself.

I cannot give this duology enough stars. 5 is not enough. It’s absolutely incredible. I cried, laughed, shouted out while walking my dog, cried again, ALL OF THE EMOTION. The story is unreal, Ally Norths words are astounding but it’s the narration by QR that really brings it to life. I’ve listened to hundreds of 🌶️ WLW fiction books and while all excellent, no one, NOONE comes close to what is achieved here. When I saw it was set in 1852 I initially gave it a miss, I assumed it would lean into the period drama trope of sizzling for 16 hours and then it all come crashing down with enforced heteronormativity and…well…men etc etc. I was furious with myself for making that assumption. It blows the trope out of the water! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Astonishing. LISTEN TO IT NOW.

Okay, I finished this series yesterday and it’s taken me a beat to calm my full heart and get my thoughts in order, because Bloom Town Genesis & Exodus emotionally wrecked me and then miraculously pieced me back together again. 🧡

Set in the Wild West, this is so much more than a romance. It’s a story about found family, freedom, faith, impossible choices, and finding the courage to live as your true self. Every character feels real, every relationship matters, and somehow the stakes just keep getting higher and higher!

And Joey & Abby? Quite possibly one of my top 10 sapphic couples of all time! I was rooting for them with my whole heart. Their chemistry is incredible, their love story is messy, beautiful and achingly emotional.

I laughed, I cried, I read with my stomach churning nerves for possibly two thirds of Bloom Town Exodus.

Five stars. And zero emotional stability. Ally North… respectfully, what the hell?! 🤠🧡

Ally North & Quinn Riley - take a bow!

You can’t help but feel that you’re actually ‘in’ this story - like being part of a western/pioneer type setting. I didn’t want it to finish. Kudos to the narrator, who takes the reader to another place with ease, it seems. Her ability to do accents and children’s voices is awe inspiring.

Excellent!

A gripping read! It's a roller coaster ride full of emotion. I was in tears and laughter many times. I loved both books and can't wait for another Ally North novel. Quinn Riley was on fire narrating the story and did a spectacular job! She brought the story alive in the most amazing way. Bloom Town is my favourite book of 2025!

Loved it! ❤️
