Whilst this story is fiction it depicts the life of women pilots in the ATA in what feels to be a real and true account. well researched and extremely readable it also covers aspects of war history previously unknown to me and of great interest.
There are moments of excitement and suspense as well as romance and intrigue, enough to keep a reader's interest and enough to be anxious to know what will happen next.

There is a good atmosphere of the times and of place which for me is always important in my reading.
I recommend this book to all who wish to escape for a while into another woman's life and time.

I don’t think this book is necessarily being marketed at men in their 30s like me, but I was absolutely gripped by the storytelling.

It really brought home what life might have been like for ordinary people during that time. Highly recommended.

I listened to Bobbys War on a 5 hour flight. Listening made s long later night journey a pleasure. I enjoyed the narration and getting to know the characters. Bobby is a real inspiration and wow how these girls had an impact on the war effort. I found it really interesting hearing about the stories of the ATA pilots. What times they lived through!
