Narrator captured all the characters superbly. Perceptive and very revealing storyline which seems to capture the essence of London today.

I loved this novel. Andrew O’Hagan’s plot, characterisation and turn of phrase makes for a compelling read. A well spent 10 years Mr O. Don’t take 10 years for the next novel! Tick tock….

It was a slow starter, but it picked up as it went along. The main protagonist is deeply unsympathetic, which is the main flaw of the book, but after a bit you really want to know what happens to all the large cast of characters. I enjoyed it.
