I didn’t think I’d fall this hard for Nic and Lo, but Caught Up pulled me in fast and didn’t let go. I didn’t realise the book would be so much sex. I got 100 pages in and was honestly bored of it being sex… pining, pining, more sex, sex work (we love), and repeat. The rest of the story may be great but not for me. DNF

Nothing at all! Was absolute perfection, the characters were voiced perfectly! Would absolutely recommend and cannot wait for the next book. I read the first Lights Out on my kindle so was a nice switch to read the 2nd on audiobook :)

I was a few chapters into the audiobook of this when I saw a post about this, and I took the advice out gave - don't go into this expecting Lights Out 2. Although Josh, Aly and other characters from Lights Out appear in this book, it is a different story. I personally liked but didn't love it (I loved Lights Out, and rated it 5 stars - also listened on audiobook to this).

This book was funny in places, and also dealt with some serious issues, such as the treatment and rights of sex workers. The story revolves around Lauren and Nico - Nico ghosted Lauren after sleeping with her as a teen, which stayed with her. It comes to light that he did this to protect her from both their mobster fathers.

There is a lot of spice, some taking place in the kink club Lauren co-owns. I forwarded this in places to get on with the actual story. I found the plot a bit thin on the whole, and would've preferred a bit more drama and intrigue.

I'm generally totally hooked on book, can't put it down but with this I actually had days in between listens, and read other books in between, even with Teddy Hamilton narrating. If it's on your TBR, I'd say go for it, but I wouldn't slide it straight to the top of your pile.

Always a pleasure to listen to Teddy Hamilton.
