Summary

We've got your daughter.

It's evening, you're back late from work - and the house is in darkness.

You step inside, and the phone rings. You answer it - and your world is turned upside down. Your 14-year-old daughter's been taken and her kidnappers demand half a million pounds in cash. They give you 48 hours to raise the money. If you call the police, she will die.

As the nightmare unravels, you can be certain of only two things: that you will do anything to get your daughter back alive - and that time is running out....

I couldn't stop listening, it was such a good story and also very well narrated.

riveting story

This book contains all the suspense, fast-pace and excitment of his other books but unfortunately all the implausibilty too. It's OK but I found it a bit simple and not particularly gripping. It's a bit like Eastenders, if there's nothing on then a bit of brainless and unchallenging entertaintment fills the gap! Didn't think it was very well read which I found frustrating.

Not his best

Loved it....and the story line....with places that you can relate to. makes it all the more real

Another good London based Crime Story

First book I have tried from this author and I really did enjoy it. I found it addictive and wanted to get a resolution. I did feel some scenes just fell a little flat and so lost the true gritty sense it needed.
I did struggle with the storyline a bit I kept thinking that the main character could have saved a whole lot of grief by acting in a less sensational way. OK I just accepted it was a novel and not real then I enjoyed it.
If you like a bit of tension and evil then this is a good light read.
I will try more from Simon
