I've read both books and as a Don, Illarian had amazing morals and character. The sisters, though is another story, I think Taylor's martyrdom went too far and went on for too long, it became very frustrating. I can't believe it was her sister's wedding that was featured towards the end of book 2, and not Tay and Illarian!

This book the second book 8n the series. Talent abounds at the story line mostly set in one place. lies, truths and danger lurk around every corner. but two things hold true. Valerian loves Taylor. And Taylor is a Martyr to her family rather than herself. If you ever wanted a life lesson on how self denial and white lies can hurt others you love, this is it.
with a lovely HEA, this is a good listen.

Just finished the series, book 1 and 2, this review covers both. I absolutely loved the story, this was so well written! The pace of the story was great, the plot was amazing. It had me laughing, excited and frustrated all at once. Naomi West, you did great!
