You know that when you pick this author up she will deliver. The story is dark, smutty, and full of action. Definitely a fast-paced book which is overall easy to follow and listen to. I really enjoyed it✨

I think aside from the story being not quite up to parr, I cannot get over how I felt Enzo was in his fifties, not 30’s. Maybe it was the narrators voice? It sounded older perhaps. I will say however, that HD Carlton explains on Goodreads that this is her reset book and because of this, I can get over the fact that there seemed to be an awful lot of filler in this.

I wanted to like this more than I did. The premise had promise, but the story fell flat and didn’t keep me engaged. The characters lacked depth, and I just didn’t love them. It wasn’t terrible, but overall, it left me underwhelmed.

Loved this book and OMG the voice overs were brilliant and fact it changes from person to person rather than one person trying to narrate every character was perfect! The utter saracsm and sas in this story was funny as hell! Love H.D carltons books
