Summary
When a boy who has everything meets a boy who has nothing, life will never be the same again.
Leopold Van Eschen is in big trouble. All the money in the world won’t save him from what he’s done. On the run, desperate to get away, Leo finds himself seeking help from a bunch of vagabonds he meets in a railyard.
Leo has no idea his whole world is about to change.
Killian has been homeless and living on the fly for nine years. The closest thing he has to family is a group of fellow freight-hoppers. With the wind at his back and the whole world stretched out before him, he’s happy. It’s not an easy life, but you can’t put a price on freedom.
A chance run-in with a wealthy stranger turns Killian’s world upside down. Leo’s cute and desperate to get away. Without knowing a thing about him, Killian and his friends help Leo escape the city.
It doesn’t take long before Killian realizes the boy he’s slowly falling for has dark secrets.
Who is Leo running from?
What happened to make Leo want to give up a life of wealth to live the life of a vagabond instead?
**End of the Line is the first book in a queer romance series. It’s a story of two men from vastly different worlds who fall in love while on a journey of self-discovery. It’s a story of friendship and found family. No cliffhangers. 100% HEA**

Then there is the setting of the story, which is described in a very enjoyable way. The research shows and it's a setting I haven't encountered before, so all the more fun to learn something new.
The story is dynamic, full of difficult and not so difficult feelings, and it pulled me in from the get go.
Narration: Nick J. Russo did an amazing job acting out the emotions with his impressive skills. The narration amplifies the story, giving the characters even more dimensions and the mood of the story was really well matched.
Emotional and fascinating

End of the Line is a tale of two men finding out that what they thought they knew may not be the truth, but knowing without question that they will always have each other's backs. Till the End of the Line.
Killian has been riding the rails for a while now, so it doesn’t take much to recognize a newbie. Leo isn’t just new to riding; he’s clearly got secrets.
As Killian takes Leo under his wing, they keep moving west, along with their friends, who slowly adopt Leo as one of them. Through complications, quiet nights with shared secrets and a beautifully growing love.
It’s a really interesting and engaging story that had me glued to the page, and loving them both and rooting for their future.
And if you’ve ever listened to one of her audiobooks you’ll know Nick J Russo is her narrator bestie with good reason. He’s talented and really understands her writing style and characters

Leo was such a risky newbie to help, and it was thrilling to feel as lost and helpless as he was during those first few days with Killian and his friends. I don't know if I'd have taken a chance on someone so obviously out of his element, but the fact that Killian did spoke volumes about his kind heart. Being thrust into an entirely new way of life couldn't have been easy for Leo, and I was impressed by his resilience and determination. As the group made their way further and further away from where they started, I really enjoyed getting to know not just Leo and Killian but the entire group of travelers. Each individual had their own reasons for staying on the road, and I loved learning more about what motivated them. Their friendship, built from years of traveling together, felt so steady and unshakable, and the more stories they shared the more I felt like I was part of the group.
In the meantime, I was excited to see Leo slowly start to lower his guard around Killian. As the truth finally emerged about what led him to flee from his life, my heart broke for the emotional and physical suffering Leo had endured. It would have been easy to get swallowed up in despair, but Killian and Leo's slow-growing romance provided plenty of happy feelings to ease the way. Their connection snuck up on me slowly, but as they began to trust each other with little truths about their backgrounds, I also sensed a deeper emotional bond forming. With the need to constantly stay moving, the two of them didn't have much time to get physical, but that only made me crave those rushed touches even more. Every minute of time Killian and Leo carved out for each other felt special, and though normally I would balk at how quickly they fell in love, their shared journey made it feel so natural.
As exciting as their adventure was, I knew it was only a matter of time before Killian and Leo would reach a crossroads. Leo couldn't hide in the shadows forever and Killian had to decide if Leo was worth sticking around for. I definitely didn't see any of those last chapters coming, and it was cathartic, if unexpected, to get closure about all the questions swirling in my mind. I know I can always count on Nicky James for a happy ending, but Leo and Killian's was particularly sweet.
