I love an underdog story, a sapphic romance and women proving just how badass they can be and this all of that wrapped in one package.

I love the characters and the fact that they’re flawed and still manage to find a way through. The blend of historical and fictional information builds an incredibly vivid picture that has left me thinking about the characters and the world for ages afterwards.

Loved it and can’t wait for the next one!!

This is a fantastic captivating story, it's such a Fabulous glimpse into the delights and horrors of Rome.
Men rule, women are second class citizens, (Nothing changes.)
She wanted to be more, a first, a beacon for women that they can be more.
A gladiator is a superstar of the day, and she wanted to rock the arena.🗡
The goddesses have plans for her, and love blossoms through adversity.
Excellent narration, a delightful performance. 🎶

Absolutely fantastic fictional story about the relationship between a young female Gladiator and a wannabe Empress all set in the historically famous location of Pompeii.
Five star also for the narration provided by Robyn Holdaway and their ability to create each character's personality.

1, as saphfic fantasy this would be a very good story.
2, as historical fiction it's a Hollywood film, where the facts and timeliness are ignored.
I finished it and tried to enjoy as 1 but 2 kept nagging me.
the narration is mostly very good, except the American Jupiter, and a northern England Diana.
