I am not a person who confronts others, but I wanted to find a way I could successfully and professionally say my piece. This workbook was that way. The book has two different ways it helps with conversations: my coworkers and HR. HR makes me the most nervous, so I started with that one. Not every phrase or statement matched my personality, but several did. I practiced them in the mirror out loud, and the one day I needed it, I was able to use the phrase naturally. Great workbook for introverts.

I absolutely loved when the author, S.R. Brown, mentions a smart and strategic way to subtlety get the message across to corner cutters (obviously in a HR-approved way lol) to get them to focus on doing a good job. “Hey, you have great speed at getting things done, but let’s focus on quality control more.” This really made me chuckle but I also thought it was so on point and excellent. There are so many situations in working environments (and those with their own businesses) were they need to express to colleagues and employees where they are falling short without upsetting someone. This is an important listen for those looking to better their workplace etiquette and simultaneously get their message across.
