Narrator’s voice jumps from barely audible to loud as he reads eg in the psalms- poor audio recording compared with other audio bibles.

Poor recording

When I select the different books/chapters to listen to, so say if I want to start listening to Job and click on that, it isn’t correct and starts in the middle of some other chapter so I have no idea what part of the Bible I’m actually listening to.

Love the Bible itself just not this recording

The narration is very erratic and uneven.
The narrator seems to strain through the whole recording.
The intonation has little correlation with the text emphasis.
It’s not AI sounding but it isn’t great.
It seems to have been read for the purposes of entertainment rather than with respect.
There is random music that distracts and often overwhelms the voice of the narrator.
The “multiple” voices are only random and occasional.
The current other reviews are correct in saying the recording is not good.
I’ve listened to a lot of Bible audio books, different translations and narrators (several versions a year)… this is the first that has been a genuine struggle to listen to because I couldn’t understand it.
It’s ironic, by trying to make it sound entertaining, they have made it awkward and forced…. and perhaps almost irreverent.,. In something that should not be clear ….and not irreverent!
It’s the first bible recording that I couldn’t follow the narration due to the recording issues.

Not a great recording…. I recommend avoid
