Free-spirited and easygoing Taylor Vandenberg left her hometown of Faircombe, Tennessee, as soon as she could, and in the twenty-five years since, she has rarely looked back. I read this when it first came out on paperback, but being able to listen along while I’m out for a walk with my dog is a treat. Honestly, this opposites attract story line is brilliant and wrote so beautifully, it melted my cold heart!

An enjoyable and interesting read that was funny at times and romantic at others. But it also spoke to real human feelings - of escaping pain.

I’ve been a fan of Haley Cass since starting with Sutton and Spencer’s story, this book ‘In the long run’ was the last in Cass’ collection I had to read, and I have to say it has been my favourite, the relationship between the two characters was perfect, the amount of laughs it has brought me, if anyone is just starting out reading Hayley’s books make sure to check out the rest. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them all. I’ll be waiting patiently (not so patiently) for all of her future books/ projects.
