About this listen

Henrietta Lovell is on a mission to revolutionize the way we drink tea by replacing industrially produced teabags with the highest quality tea leaves. Her quest has seen her travel to the Shire Highlands of Malawi, across the foothills of the Himalayas, and to hidden gardens in the Wuyi-Shan to source the world's most extraordinary teas.

Infused invites us to discover these remarkable places, introducing us to the individual growers and household-name chefs Lovell has met along the way - and reveals the true pleasures of tea. The result is a delicious infusion of travel writing, memoir, and recipes, all written with Lovell's unique charm and wit.

A simply exquisite book, part memoir, part history book, a sprinkling of recipes and a tour of the tea growing regions of the world. Henrietta weaves her own memories and stories through the history of tea growing and gives the most beguiling descriptions of the people, places and teas she has met along the way. I grew up in Sri Lanka and she has perfectly captured the essence of the tea country and her passion for high quality, ethically produced tea comes across in every chapter. The narration is also fantastic, the perfect soundtrack to afternoon tea.

So unique, Wonderful blend of autobiography and descriptions of the people and places where tea is crafted. And such a way with words. Had me grinning whilst listening at many points. If you love tea listen to it. I’ve been making tea with the wrong principles all my life (too little tea in the pot and water too hot)- thank you so much for gently reeducating me!!! Have now bought a spread of Rare Teas to taste some of the chapters!

A beautiful book and changed the way I think about tea

I admire any author who narrates their own book but I found this difficult to hear, it was quiet and whispered. I stuck with it because the content was so good, a truly amazing journey. I was so excited to find a book like this about Tea.

Amazing Read, difficult listen

It was amazing to hear about all the adventures in tea all over the world. As a tea lover myself it was refreshing to listen to how in love with tea and the great respect for it the author has.
Loved the recipes along the way too, just wish there was a list of them attached to this audiobook to reference.
If you love tea and good stories you can’t go wrong with this book

A wonderfully articulate and impassioned walk through the world of high quality tea, making you want to experience (and experiment with) the vast world of beautifully crafted, low batch, teas. Henrietta has a deeply engaging style which is both frank and yet almost poetic...
