Over the years i have listened to audiobooks making the arguments from all sides. Meat is bad, cut out dairy, avoid grains, juice, don’t juice... haha, i’d be as well sewing up my mouth and be done with it. What I have gained though is knowledge from all these camps and somehow managed to keep an open mind that they are all right to some degree, just blinded by their passion and tunnel vision... and in a few cases greed.
My passion and reason for listening to all these books is that I am completely amazed by the human body. My knowledge of how it ‘really’ works grows with every book I read or listen too. I’ve been healthy all my life, never spent a day in a hospital but last year was diagnosed with Psoriasis which has progressed to being severe. It covers my entire body and apart from being so time consuming to manage, has many health and psychological impacts. This has led me to studying the gut and the microbiome. My life from here on is looking forward to treating the symptoms of Psoriasis without ever tackling the source. With all this knowledge i’ve gained (haha, i’m no expert of course) i’m convinced it lies in the gut and that’s where i’ll continue to focus.
So as the title suggests, if you want to learn about gut health, this is the perfect place to start. Lots of ideas and knowledge condensed into short bursts and delivered in a friendly and entertaining manner.
Well done boys, hope you continue the series.
