What happens when a 37-year-old office worker, who exercises marginally less than the average cheese sandwich, decides to walk 630 miles of challenging coastline in one go? Will he go on an epic voyage of self-discovery...or just get really knackered?

Find out the answers to these important questions, and many more, by joining him on a grand adventure that takes in 26,719 steps, 921 stiles, 302 bridges, 91,000 feet of climbing and descending, one seal, zero basking sharks, lots of chips and one overweight, oversize backpack.

Very funny and enjoyable account of walking the South West Coast Path. May also inspire you to take a long walk or perhaps quit your job and do something else, be warned! Well worth a listen, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Being somewhat more mature than the author and unable to do the SWCP in one go. I have spent 4 weeks across a number of years on this path so far. Overall the book represents the experience and the places in a way that bought back fond memories and had me smiling along with the walker. Makes me want to do the remaining 4 weeks as soon as I can.

Realism with a smile.
