From debut author Goldy Moldavsky, the story of four superfan friends whose devotion to their favorite boy band has darkly comical and murderous results.

Just know from the start that it wasn't supposed to go like this. All we wanted was to get near them. That's why we got a room in the hotel where they were staying. We were not planning to kidnap one of them. Especially not the most useless one. But we had him-his room key, his cell phone, and his secrets.

We were not planning on what happened next. We swear.

From thrilling new talent Goldy Moldavsky comes a pitch-black, hilarious take on fandom and the badass girls who have the power to make-or break-the people we call "celebrities."

"Boy band fangirls are a species that are more focused, determined and powerful in large numbers than just about any other group of people I can think of!" 🎤 🎶

Kill the Boy Band was such a weird, chaotic and unexpectedly fun read. 😂 As someone who was absolutely obsessed with Take That growing up, I really appreciated how accurately the book captured that intense boy band fandom energy, just taken to a completely unhinged level.

This story was wild from start to finish and I honestly never knew where it was going next. The humour really worked for me too. It’s dark, ridiculous and satirical, but there were so many moments that genuinely made me laugh out loud. Underneath all the chaos, there’s also a clever commentary on celebrity culture, fandom obsession and the way fans can build impossible expectations around famous people.

It’s definitely not your typical YA read, but that’s what made it stand out. Strange, funny, dramatic and slightly disturbing in the best way. I had a really good time with it.

first of all, the narration absolutely makes this book come to life and I would definitely listen to more books by this narrator if they ever choose to do it again! this book is equal parts dark and hilarious and I couldn't put it down, it's so ridiculous in the funniest of ways - it's one of my favourite books now!

something so different for me but I LOVED IT

The voice work on this makes it ten times better than it should be. Barrett brings these characters to life and I could NOT stop listening! If you want a crazy and progressively dark insight on the life on some crazy fangirls this is your book. Filled to the brim with pop culture and revelations to keep your head spinning and invested for hours on end. I believe this is a book that works better in audio form. But it's obviously not for everyone...

Heathers with Fangirls!
