It's all on me. It's my guilt that I have to carry. After all, my failure led to my brother's death. Now, I'm just trying to make amends, unburden my family, and fly under the radar.

Until he walks in.

Sexy, soulful musician Derek Waters, who sparks a flame, moves my soul, and flips my world. How can I deny the adventure he promises me? This audiobook can be listened to as a standalone novel, but contains spoilers to the first novel in the series, My Life as a Country Album.

*This is the second book in the My Life as an Album series and must be read after book one, unless you want spoilers!*

This is the second book I've read by LJ Evans and it just made me a forever fan. The first book in this series was outstanding but really broke my heart so I was wary to pick this one up. Thanks goodness I did! This had all the heart and soul that I loved about the first book without all of the ugly crying. Not to say I didn't shed a few tears, but they were mostly at the beginning and relating to events that happened in the first book. I absolutely adore the way the author sets up the chapters to songs. While the first book was all about Taylor Swift, this one gives us Ed Sheeran. I don't normally enjoy books with a low heat level, but this was done so well, (just like the previous book) I honestly didn't even miss he heat. Mia and Derek just made me smile and left me with a full heart.
Sarah Puckett's narration was just as wonderful in this one as it was in the first book. She is quickly becoming a favorite narrator of mine. I look forward to more of this series. Highly recommend!

I liked the first one a lot but as a reader I connected with this one even more. I adored the soundtrack that accompanied the timeline of the story, they're some of my favorite songs and they really added an additional background of emotion. I found the characters very relatable and Derek was pretty swoony.

Sarah Has such a perfect voice for this series and I honestly couldn't imagine anyone else performing it!

Wow even better than the first!

an easy 5 stars , best to listen to my life as a country album first before this one as it will make more sense in certain parts , and if you've listened to that one you'll know just how amazing this one is too , this story follows Mia , Jake's sister and her life after book one where she gets swept into an amazing adventure full of laugh and heartache and comes out the other side
with some spelunking and a kitten named Jayne thrown in you just know its gonna be a crazy ride .

I really really really enjoyed this book! I think I've been waiting to get the chance to read this book since I read the first book. That was a beautiful and sad story. This story doesn't compare to that in the deep factor, but that's okay. It was a different story entirely and didn't need the depth. The narrator was terrific as always. She's one of my favorites. I don't really have much to complain about as far as this book goes. I really related to Mia in so many ways. There were some things I wish had been explained in more detail. Especially a certain scene where Mia reveals something to her parents that she's kept a secret for a long time. I'd of liked to see more emotion and closure there. Overall, I really enjoyed this. I can't wait to read many more books by this author. She really knows how to pull a reader in and emotionally wreck them in all the best ways possible. I fully recommend this book and the book before it.

So cute!

Sarah Puckett performed as I’ve come to expect her to, amazingly.

Mia had resigned herself to a life of safety and mediocrity but it was all blown to pieces when sweet, sexy, rocker-boy Derek entered her life. I love the adventure these two went on; their journey to love was sweet.
