Critic reviews

Addictive, clever, twisty. McAllister's best book yet
Structured so compellingly that you have no choice but to keep turning those pages, this is an exceptional thriller with a thumping, emotional heart
This tense and compelling courtroom drama is written with convincing details, and the suspense is expertly controlled
A gripping "did-she", "didn't-she" scenario . . . As tense as a piano string, but vibrates with a heartfelt examination of motherhood and sisterly relationships that lifts it above the usual female-centric grip lit
I read it in a breathless day and a half. Such a perfect balance of courtroom drama and family drama, so smooth and assured, it just flowed, seamlessly. I loved every page, every character, every twist and turn (Lisa Jewell)
One of the best courtroom dramas I've ever read - keeps you guessing right up to the very end (Cara Hunter)
I raced through the impressive No Further Questions. Loved this gripping and thought-provoking read (B A Paris)
Tense, compelling, with convincing detail and a clever grand reveal
A perfectly plotted courtroom drama and an emotional roller-coaster in one book
Be warned - you will not be able to put this thriller down. Bestselling author Gillian McAllister hits the spot with this page-turner

A bit long winded and spoilt by having to turn the sound up to maximum every time Marsha was speaking such a slow breathy voice

Interesting story

This was a new author to me and I shall definitely be listening to more.
I really enjoyed the style and simplicity of the story. It really was a great story, one you want to know the out come but don't want it to end.
The narrators voice, I thought was perfect for the story too.

5 stars from me and I shall be recommending it.

fantastic from start to finish.

I guessed the twist about 3 hours in and had to wait and wait for confirmation. Some narrators better than others but I enjoyed it. Found myself sneaking time away to listen to more.

A steady listen

I really enjoyed the storyline but the actors voices were horrendous and off putting . I also found the quality poor and had to adjust the volume depending which character was talking which was annoying.
I wouldn’t waste a credit in this

Poor performance for a good book
