Everyone's watching. Someone's killing.

A reality TV show. A two million pound prize. A contestant who'll kill to win.

Ex-DCI Luke Sackville thought he'd seen it all-until he's called to investigate 'Shadow Chasers', a ratings juggernaut where contestants chase historical mysteries for the ultimate reward.

Luke sends two of the Ethics Team undercover as contestants. While they struggle with cryptic clues, dramatic eliminations and the horrors of communal living, whispers of cheating escalate to murder and Luke realizes someone isn't playing by the rules.

They're eliminating the competition. Literally.

With cameras capturing every move, Luke races to identify a killer who's playing to win and eliminating anyone who stands in their way. He and his team must separate performance from reality before the final challenge crowns a murderer as champion.

The whole country is watching. And so is the killer.

I love this series, stories are twisting as plot lines intertwine. The characters are all individuals and are given space to develop and bring their back stories into the book, can’t wait for the next one

Luke and team triumph again

Another good addition to what is one of my favourite series. Once again, Steve weaves an entertaining story with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout.
Personally, I’m not a fan of “reality” TV shows, so I found it a little difficult at first to become fully involved in the storyline. Even so, once started, it was still a difficult book to put down.
Samuel James’s narration was once again spot on and really enhanced the listening experience.
Highly recommended, and I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest review voluntarily.

Entertaining listen.
