I’ve read the actual book and decided to try the audio book version while doing the gardening.
I must say that the audio book is just as good as the paperback and the story flows well, I’ve now downloaded the second book in the trilogy.

One of my favourite epistolary novels of all time. I've loved this book for many years and was so delighted to find it available in audiobook form. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The narration is just a little ponderous in places, but really very good overall.

Georgette Heyer meets a sort of steampunk magical world with sprightly characters and plenty of humour.

I don't remember the other two books being quite as good as this, but definitely going to get them.
