I like horses better than most people. After years of supporting our local equine rescue, it’s safe to say that I have a certified hate-on for the rodeo. So why is Luke McCall, injured rodeo diva, in my training paddock?

Luke and Sparrow’s story is wonderfully romantic, swoony, and full of fantastic lines (“being drop kicked out of the closet,” is a personal favorite). Rebel Sky Ranch is such a fun place to hang out.

Declan Winters has the perfect voice for these characters. His pacing, accents and emotion make for an immersive experience.

With unforgettable characters of the animal persuasion (Q, Sprite, Butters, Cisco) and human (Colt, Trip, Warwick, Desi) this book glides into the ears and warms the heart. Certain pool parties and barn shenanigans add heat and there’s a couple heart-swelling moments at the rodeo.

5 stars across the board.

Kelly Fox & Declan Winters team up to bring a steamy, funny, swoony enemies to lovers romance with shibari elements. Such a good story. I love Kelly's characters & Declan brought all the smokin Spanish /Latino vibes, emotion, humor, & perfect timing. Fantastic job & the last 2 books in the series are gonna be even better on audio too!

The Narration : Declan Winters gives a flawless performance in this audiobook and fully captures the heart of each of the main characters. The accent, tone and cadence of all the characters are maintained throughout the entire book so there is no problems in telling one character from another. He’s a perfect fit for Sparrow and Luke.

The Story : Sparrow and Luke have a less than favourable first meeting due to Sparrow’s absolute dislike of all things “rodeo”. It takes a bit of time for him to appreciate that Luke is more than just a world champion bronc rider and is certainly not a diva.

My heart really went out to Luke and all that he’s endured in his life and it was an absolute joy to watch Sparrow’s opinion of Luke do a complete turnabout and morph into love. A hot and steamy passionate love, with just a bit of light kink, that leads to a beautiful HEA.

There’s a little bit of angst but it’s more about what’s happening in Luke’s life, not the romance with Sparrow, and some funny moments to add balance. Add in a fantastic cast of side characters to keep things interesting and you’re left with a very engaging well paced audio that made my heart happy.

I absolutely love Kelly Fox’s writing and listening to these series is like being around old friends and it’s made me laugh and tearful! Luke and Sparrow are amazing and you love, love, love them together. I enjoyed every single moment. Which leads me to the always incredible and amazing Declan Winters who in the past has made me fall in love with the most unhinged mafia men so warm caring, non judgmental, animal loving cowboys is an easy ask. His narration of these men makes your heart filled to the brim. Cannot wait to listen to the rest of the series and then all over books that Kelly writes and Mr Winters narrates because it’s a lovely warm feeling that makes the day brighter ❤️ they are the perfect creative duo. Like Ruby Darling and Joe Arden. Or Rina Kent with Teddy Hamilton and Greyson Owen’s, or Ev Olsen and all of the above. Also the side characters are everything. Sparrows parents are so beautiful 😍

MM, Enemies to Lovers, Cowboys, Contemporary, Romance. Fantastic second book in the series and while I think it can be listened to as a stand-alone I think that due to the lives of the characters being so close to the other characters in the series that you find out so much more about everybody/everything if listened to in series order. Lots of angst, heat, wit and humour as well as some very emotional moments, a great binge listen with a guaranteed HEA.
