Speaker for the Dead, the second novel in Orson Scott Card's The Ender Saga, is the winner of the 1986 Nebula Award for Best Novel and the 1987 Hugo Award for Best Novel.

In the aftermath of his terrible war, Ender Wiggin disappeared, and a powerful voice arose: The Speaker for the Dead, who told the true story of the Bugger War.

Now, long years later, a second alien race has been discovered, but again the aliens' ways are strange and frightening...again, humans die. And it is only the Speaker for the Dead, who is also Ender Wiggin the Xenocide, who has the courage to confront the mystery...and the truth.

I enjoyed this book incredibly!
the story itself was as incredible and insitnful and real feeling as ever. I admire the thought prossess that created this story and love the words in which it was told!
It has changed the way I think about people and how to see them and why they do what they do. You can't hate someone if you understand them. This simple idea and prossess created a chin of event in my mind that I think has created a much deeper and detailed way of think. And I love that!
That's one of the many things I learned here.
I look faward to listening to the rest of these stories.

I love this whole series. The second book is as always wonderfully narrated. This book is quite different from the first, and that is a good thing. The author isn't being lazy and looking at the same questions over and over again. This, as it happens, is true for most of his books.

Changes the gears for the series (still great!)

Found a bit slow to start with, but got into stride after a while. Loved the piggies narration, well written.
