Loved this audiobook! The story is interesting, with great characters. The narration was very good but the male voices could have been better. I wasn't sure if the narrator was trying for a Scottish accent. Being Scottish and living in Scotland, I don't think they were!

Wonderful story

This was a nice surprise, with laugh out loud moments and a few insightful parts.

This fantasy book is light to read and leaves you wanting more..it does end preparing you for a sequel but the story at hand is well wrapped up.

Hope we’ll get more of this!

Very nice!

I have this as an ebook and read it some time ago- I enjoyed the book but the audio version was even better, particularly at bringing out the humour. This is a “laugh out loud” book at certain parts despite the darkness of the underlying plot.
The narrator is excellent although I do agree with some other reviewers remarks re Sarkis’s “voice”. I think the accent is supposed to be Scots - maybe Highlands&Islands? It is a real parody of it and, as a Scot myself,I was torn between being appalled and giggling every time he spoke. I kept waiting for him to say “Och aye the noo”! However you do get used to it and she is excellent in expressing his feelings in the intonations. Just stick to an accent you are familiar with next time please!

An entertaining listening
