I don't often leave reviews but this book is such an eye opener in parenting. Making one look first at self then outside. This has helped me tremendously in parenting my two sons. They are definitely experiencing a more awakened mummy even if they won't see it as that, but I see the difference in the way in which we communicate and the lack of struggle in getting results. Of course, like everything else it's not a 'one size fits all' and some of the steps need to be adjusted to suit your own family needs. For e.g. the part about teaching your kids to negotiate. I did that naturally from the time my eldest son was able to communicate but at some point it became taxing for all. He would negotiate with everyone including his teachers and that became a challenge for all. So I had to then teach him that not everything is up for negotiation. Some things he has to just trust me and do and we can discuss later.

Overall, brilliant insight!! My parenting will never be the same again.
