I really enjoyed this one. So much so, I immediately put the sequel on pre-order!
This was the first Kernick novel for me, but definitely won't be my last. I really enjoyed the characters - especially Mason and Boyd. Many surprises await the reader, as well as some rather scary villans, and plenty of twists. Can't recommend this one enough!

A great fast-paced thriller..!

I had major doubts over the first of this series but enjoyed this second book more. There was more continuity to the story. A good decision by someone to now just have the one voice reading (although personally I do feel Paul Thornly is somewhat over-used - certainly for this reader who listens to A LOT of this genre) it was less annoying. So, on to the third ...

Another brilliant gripping story from ace Police writer, Simon Kernick and really well read by Paul Thornley. Loved it couldn't stop listening to it and the ending leaves it open for the next book.

Another cracker from Simon Kernick

The story is a bit predictable, but it rolls along, I only chose this book because it is read by 'The Master' Paul Thornley.
