About this listen

In a world far from our own, where enemies come in many forms, will the ultimate battle for survival be game over?

Don't miss the explosive final book in the epic Contender trilogy from the best-selling author of the Summoner series.

Cade and his friends are fighting for Earth

Cade has managed to survive the duel with the Hydra Alpha - barely. But the Games are far from over.

By order of the cruel and mysterious alien overlord Abaddon, Cade and his friends are sent off to war against the Greys, a humanoid race that has far surpassed humans in technology on their home planet.

A glimmer of hope?

This attempt to move up the leaderboard leads Cade to a game-changing revelation: the Pantheon - the millennia-old alien masterminds behind the Games - have a weakness.

With the right artefacts scavenged from the land of Acies and a heavy dose of courage and luck, Cade has exactly one chance to end their tyranny for ever. But if he fails, for the lives of his friends and the survival of Earth it will be...game over.

A thrilling and must-hear finale for fans of The Chosen and The Challenger

I really liked this book I loved that they had different parts of history and they have to make do with what they have. The ending took me by surprise but it was good.

Amazing book

I came into this series with hopes after reading 'The Summoner' series but was ultimately left disappointed. Right through to the end of the major battle in this book, I had hopes that Kade would mature and grow into the role and position he holds... yet it was ultimately a waste as he remained a boy too quick to cry. This and the lack of true understanding of what was truly required of the group and their role in the 'kill or be killed' game that had been thrust upon them. Guilt, reluctance, shame or fear are normal - to allow such to endanger friends & allies after what transpired after the first round though is unacceptable.
The 'message' is also strongly woven throughout the entire storyline, pushing the same nonsense that has ruined modern entertainment. This isnt something I would recommend to anyone who is looking for something with good sci-fi elements, action or even a coming of age story. There are elements of the story and characters I like but it just falls flat in to many areas. One being historical accuracy like claiming the Mongol Empire was the largest when it was in fact the British Empire

MC with the spirit of a background character

Predictable storyline, little character growth, he’s written so much better! Any major plot/event is miraculously set up in the chapter before. Underwhelming ending that you would think would go into a bit of detail rather than be over in a few short chapters considering it took 3 books to get to!

Rushed and a bit predictable
