Liz has found refuge in the small fishing village of Tremarnock with her young daughter, Rosie, after her relationship with Rosie's father came unstuck.

Now that she's happily married to village restaurant owner Robert Hart, all seems set for a quiet autumn and merry Christmas. But strangers have bought the local guesthouse and seem to have big plans. Why is he so charming and confident, but she's so frightened? And what are they really doing with the guesthouse?

Quaint little story but a bit mediocre in the penning. Poor grammar here & there. Implausible plots (I would suspect due to poor research); even with the little things like a 2 year old's speech developmental stage. It might have been a bit a bit more juicy if 1 of the characters , eg the main protagonist, had been written in the 1st person. The scam used in the plot was weak. Narrator OK.

6 1/2 out 10. Story lines appear not very well researched.

I loved it and couldn't stop listening to it! Georgina Maguire is a brilliant narrator- so many different accents. So happy it all ended well . I hope that there will be yet another book about life in Tremarnock.

A lovely Cornish village story
