Really not a fan of the female narrator and the accent put on. Annoyed me to the extent I couldn’t fully enjoy the story!

I think I was expecting maybe a bit more after all of the reviews… but I did enjoy it. I loved the under the sea element & the pirates & the magic. I liked the romance but didn’t love it & didn’t find myself completely rooting for them. Not sure what didn’t quite gel with me but I will still read the second book. I do have to agree with other reviews the narration was awful did put a spoiler on it for me maybe that’s why I didn’t overly gel with it. Some of the story just didn’t feel deep enough for me.

Firstly I absolutely recommend this book!
great story, great characters with a lil' bit of spice.

however, I do have to address the elephant in the room - the accents lol 😂
at times the accent attempts were hilarious but majority was fine. it was when she was doing voices of other characters - not the two main characters

Just a shame they haven't recorded the male voice in the email talk points. His voice changes when she says his lines. I love when they do one voice for talking per book. rather than the voice changing from sparrow to serpant.
