Once again Ben Kane hits the mark with this thoroughly enjoyable book.

As per my review of the first book on audible, the reader is superb…until he uses accents. I appreciate the effort but Welsh, West Country, Geordie and Scottish do not help with immersion in a Roman story.

Ben Kane writes books that are compelling, informative and entertaining. The characters he creates transport you back in time to witness the historic events unfolding. Ben's attention to the details of life at the time makes reading his books an immersive experience. The Falling Sword is another great Ben Kane book that I cannot recommend highly enough.
