Brilliant book somewhat ruined by the performance.
Whispering unintelligibly at times and the accents are poorly performed. You also have no idea of the sex of the speakers until they are referred to.

However the story was very good and well worth a read if not a listen.

This is an excellent story and the series promises to be good.

Unfortunately, the audible quality was not as good as it should have been. As each character spoke their story the volume decreased.

However, the narrator was outstanding.

Don't let the lowering of volume put you off choosing this book.

I’ve been looking for a new series to get into, and I think I found it with this first book by Robert White. It’s a different take on the usual scenario, but done really really well! Anything letting you down is the dreadful narration! The volume of the narrator’s voice is all over the place, sometimes loud sometimes not so loud, and the accents aren’t accents really… If you cannot be on this this is a great book!
