After a year of fighting across three different lands, Dante and Blays have finally brought Gladdic to justice—and in the process, they've unleashed a horror beyond all reckoning.

The enemy is known as the White Lich. He is ancient. He is immensely powerful. And Gladdic believes he will soon enslave all of Tanar Atain.

Their only chance to defeat him is to strike fast, before the lich has regained his power. But attacking him directly would be suicide. Instead, Gladdic has an alternative. Once upon a time, the lich was human, with a mortal body. Gladdic believes that original body is still out there, hidden somewhere in the swamps.

If they can find it and kill it, then the lich should die with it. But if they fail, the White Lich will rip the souls from the people of Tanar Atain—and turn his gaze on the rest of the world.

Another great addition to the series. Even warming to gladic. Very good narration as always, really brings the book alive.

Why do these books have to finish.

Can't wait until November for the next part of the story. It's great to see Dante with a love interest.

Loved the story from start to finish

I have loved everyone of the books so far, the characters are brilliant and the performance is by far my favourite.

Another brilliant book read to perfection

I have enjoyed this epic ongoing series and like many hope it continues for many more cycles to come. This was a particularly dark episode in the cycle and moved at a splendid pace. However like all his books he does have a tendency to periodically go off at a rambling tangent with what I can only describe as some rather dull passages of over detailed prose. I am not sure if this is entirely the authors fault or if the narrator exacerbates the issue. However it’s easy to forgive such things as the rest of the story makes up for it. The main characters are also at last after many episodes also developing into more credible, mature and dare I say it more interesting personalities. Look forward to the next instalment.
