I read some other reviews before moving on to this book to decide if I needed to know more. So was ready to be a bit disappointed after reading this book was “worth getting through to get to book 3”, am pleased to say however, I don’t agree, I enjoyed it & am now moving on to book 3. Great characters with a little bits of amusing traits & idiosyncrasies

Excellent narration, all the food descriptions made me very hungry and the accents were solid.

Nicely written and well researched without taking itself too seriously. I really enjoyed this, and was left feeling contented and cozy.

I loved this book. I know that some will criticise the simple story style but for me there literally was a magic about the story and the story telling. Just lovely, easy listening with a few twists that keeps the listener wondering...

Loved it, couldn't put it down, just like the first book. Characters are great, particularly love Dorian! Definitely worth a listen....I'm on to book 3!😊

Love these books, they are fun with twists and turns. All about alchemy and a talking Gargoyle. The best character is Dorian the Gargoyle, who is alive and a gourmet chef.

It's great to listen too and keeps me hooked. Part of my lightening my mood books.
