Thanks to Mayte for sharing her story in such a loving and respectful way. I've been incredibly moved and inspired by Prince's music for 35 years. This book has a beautiful balance between honesty and tender remembering of someone who knew the man behind the symbol, so to speak. Beautifully written and read by the author. By the end of the book you see why somebody of Prince's magnitude as a creative talent wanted to marry Mayte Garcia. Quite simply, she was his equal. A balanced, well paced book about music, and the complex, powerful bond between men and women.
