About this listen
Ryan "Quicksave" Romano is an eccentric adventurer with a strange power: he can create a save-point in time and redo his life whenever he dies.
Arriving in New Rome, the glitzy capital of sin of a rebuilding Europe, he finds the city torn between mega-corporations, sponsored heroes, super-powered criminals, and true monsters. It's a time of chaos, where potions can grant the power to rule the world and dangers lurk everywhere.
Ryan sees many different routes, and from Hero to Villain, he has to try them all. Only then will he achieve his perfect ending...no matter how many loops it takes.

But with this book I forgive you, oh how I forgive you. Purchase this book, even if you're still pissed with him over Never die twice, this book will more than make up for it.

A Chaotic Good Time

Some really good ideas on the whole villain/hero thing in a creative world and a story explores the grey area between good and bad people.
I like the original and creative world, characters have an ok level of depth and the plot was pretty unique.
I particularly love the odd duality between the callous (almost loony-toons level) violence and disconnection the Main Character has, because of his abilities and his half-mad wisdom and drive for a twisted 'better' outcome.
After having read more of this series, I would say that this first book is the weakest in the series, the balance between the 'slightly mad power fantasy' and deeper impact of responsibility the MC bears, is done better in the second book.
Update: After having read the third and last book of this series, I can honestly say the first book is the worst off in this series. and that all of my positive remarks above are very much deserved!
A very zany, deep, well wrapped-up story!
good concept, with interesting takes on 'heroes'
