About this listen

Nothing offends liberals more than Western imperialism—it is racism, sexism, and chauvinism all in one. And of course the epitome of Western imperialism is the British Empire, the biggest empire the world has ever known, covering at its height a quarter of the globe’s surface and ruling a quarter of the world’s population. Here, best-selling author H. W. Crocker III exposes—in brawling, rambunctious style—how the British Empire was actually one of the greatest establishers and defenders of freedom in history.

So strap on your pith helmet for a rollicking ride through some of history’s most colorful events. The Politically Incorrect Guide to the British Empire provides a panoramic and provocative view of 400 years of history that will delight and amuse, educate and entertain.

Critic reviews

"As someone who grew up in India, I often hear people ask, ‘What have the British done for us?’ Until I read this book, I didn’t have the full answer.” (Dinesh D’Souza, New York Times best-selling author)

Very thankful I stumbled across this book.

READ THIS AND EDUCATE YOURSELVES ABOVE THE LIES OF THE WOKE
ignore the downvotes from the usual suspects.
It's politically incorrect it's not supposed to mollycoddlle and persistent victimhood and virtue signalling.
if Britain had not developed these countries China would have moved in and they would all be living in camps.
India is still one of the most poorest countries in the world 70 years after independence. They have a small basket of billionaires but independence has left the rest behind.
The same story is repeated across Africa.

Brilliant finally the truth

Brilliant, ways of looking at different events. I have two small downsides you may find which are a lack of timeline of events. All times are stated but it is hard to see the difference between certain different times. Other than that the only downside you could find is that you as I will be more interested in some parts of the history than others.
I'd recommend this book to everyone with any interest in history at all.

Informative and packed with adventure.

An informative listen read by a fabulous narrator. The serious message is well made and the account of legends and less well-known but influential people throughout the history of Britain demonstrates what woke and liberal left (and communists) fail to grasp (or conveniently ignore). That Britain through the centuries brought fairness and order throughout the world and left behind opportunities for civilised advancement - which sadly was not always taken. The summary insights into the people who helped shape the world (for good) is fascinating.

Fascinating account of Britain’s contribution to a better world!
