A story made famous by the classic Western movie of the same name directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne as Ethan Edwards and Jeffrey Hunter as Marty. A great supporting cast too
But the book is as good if not better. I won't spoil the reasons why in case anyone reads this and watches the movie if you're not familiar with the story.
I will say " The Searchers" influenced a lot of famous movie directors Inc Spielberg, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese included. You'll enjoy this book.
The narrator of this book is first class too. But there's more...there's a dramatised version of the book on Audible too. This is superb. The acting is superb. I'd highly recommend both the told story and the dramatised version.
