Summary

An unforgettable story that will have your heart racing

Secrets can kill and Danni Brooks knows that better than anyone.

When her husband and two of her three children perish in a devastating house fire, Danni is sure it is arson. She’s even more sure that her and her eldest daughter Mia were meant to die in the fire too. But they are just a normal family. Who would want them dead?

Mia doesn’t talk. She can’t. She is locked in her own world where no one, not even her mother can reach her.

Desperate for answers, and convinced the truth might help her to reach her daughter, Danni tries to piece together the events leading up to that murderous night and uncover the arsonist. But with so many lies to untangle, what isthe truth?

Prepare to have your breath taken away by an unforgettable twist that will leave you reeling...

Very good read, keeps you guessing…that’s all I can really say without giving anything away!

Wow!

i liked the narration as I love the aussie accent but some have said it grates on them. the story did leave lot's of loose ends and I've never read about such a vile group of people in one book

slightly disturbing

Story was a bit slow in parts like the battery running low now and again

Not bad but a bit dreary in places

Found story increasingly unbelievable that so many negative events could happen to the main character and no one in a position to help did. A lot was explained in a dramatical and quick conclusion , but I was disappointed and felt other areas could have been explained ie the husbands thoughts

Disappointing and over dramatic

I started this book a few times but couldn't get past the monotone voice of the narrator. Her different voices were OK but it was the inbetween parts.
Shame as I like the accent normally.
Glad I did eventually finish the book.
I'd definitely look for another book by the author but not if the same narrator (sorry Jodie)

Stick with it
