Learning how to harness the ADHD and use it to my advantage and not be overwhelmed, but has been challenging, but this audiobook presented me with really smart well thought out ideas and strategies. I’ve started to use them a few at a time and they actually are easy to implement and work I’m very impressed.

I've watched my friend struggle for years, and my own "just make a list" advice always felt so useless. This book was like being handed a pair of glasses I didn't know I needed; it didn't just list symptoms, it painted a vivid picture of the internal monologue and the constant effort required just to stay afloat. The strategies made so much sense, explaining why my friend's approach has to be different from mine, and it replaced my own quiet frustration with a genuine sense of awe for what they navigate every day. Lisa Holloway's narration was perfect—her calm, compassionate tone made the information feel deeply human and relatable. I’d recommend this not only to people with ADHD, but to anyone who loves someone with it and wants to be a better, more supportive friend.

This audiobook is field with resources that can guide an adult with HDAD into managing their social and personal life with more intention. The way in which a brain functions between an individual with ADHD and one without it is clearly explain, this explanation is useful because can help us understand each other better. I am not an individual with ADHD but work with adults that experience this condition and I feel I can empathize with them better after listing to this book. Great tips about what types of foods to eat to help maintain mental health are shared; specific activities that promote a health mind set are also discussed.
On of my favorite section was the explanation between the difference in men and women experiencing
ADHD.
The book also offers advice as to how to go about parenting your children while being an adult with
ADHD; this is useful because while you might find information on ADHD in children, there is not much on the adult and how to parent as you experience it.
