Forgot the release date so was thrilled when I received the notification.
Forced myself really to take my time finishing this instead of speeding through!
There is something Harry says in the last moments of the book that really resonates.

The mood, the speed, it just fits with where the story picks up. Really enjoyed!

You simply cannot beat Harry Dresden as a hero ,all that power and yet still oh so human

There's a hard amount of detail I can't put in this review for spoilers whether that be the plots involving characters that have held on before with previous boos or the main plot of this book.

Suffice it to say that I am floored at how well Butcher has worked everything in this, from trauma to grief to friendship and developing plots - good lord is this an excellent entry into the Dresden Files, and up there in my favourites of the series.

Raw and honest and still so funny,
Nothing in this story was disappointing and there were surprises and twists and the perfect weaving together of familiar threads like one of Mother Summer's tapestries
