Brilliant police procedural. Have read and listened to all the previous books so had to have this when it came out. Sad to be finished but looking forward to the next one.

I must admit I like the work of Tony Parsons, I have a fondness for London based crime novels and this one did not disappoint. a good storyline matched by an excellent performance by the narrator.

But the old BMW X5, Cafe Italia, Punching to the heart, kicking out knees, the blue police light above Saville Row, vehicles ploughing into people references are becoming a bit tiring now. Its like a broken record..

Story, location, format and narration come together to deliver another superb developnent in the life of Max, his daughter, Scout, his colleagues, friends and the underworld.
Not only an excellent story with many thrilling twists and turns, but also a narrator sounding not just in tune with the characters but completely believable as each individual. More please!
